charline ratcliff
“The Curse of Nefertiti” came fully developed to Charline Ratcliff in a dream the night of November 14, 2006. Over the course of her life Charline has, at times, experienced unusually vivid dreams which seem more realistic than fantasy. Upon awakening the following morning and since, Ms. Ratcliff has always had a fascination with ancient Egypt; she immediately wrote out her dream which became the Prologue for her debut novel.
To date Charline has had five more of these life-like dreams and has written each of them out as Prologues for future books. She is currently finishing one based in Pompeii, Italy before the town’s ultimate destruction by Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. From there, due to requests from her clamoring readers, she plans to write the sequel to “The Curse of Nefertiti” before moving on to a story set in the mythical city of Atlantis.
Charline Ratcliff is a creative soul who loves adventure. She has lived in every state within the continental United States before the age of sixteen and has also traveled extensively throughout Europe. She loves being a writer, photographer, artist and interior designer. She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona but who knows where tomorrow may find her…

Synopsis: Over three thousand years ago, all of Egypt lies in ruins. The country that had dazzled the world is now completely annihilated, and the Nile runs red with the blood of her people. Nefertiti's spirit walks the land and looks at the utter devastation she has unwittingly allowed to transpire. In desperation she cries out to the Gods, and they take pity on her. They send her forward into the future, so she may return later to correct her mistakes.
This is the story of Nefertiti, of the life she has lived here as Kayla, unaware of her true identity until finally reunited with the man who is the living reincarnation of her murdered husband, Akhenaten. She is faced with a difficult choice. Return to Egypt and save her country and its people or stay here with the man who holds her heart. And if she returns to Egypt, will she remember her life as Kayla, so she may be returned to it before her life becomes forfeit in the past? Charline Ratcliff's tale is woven with likeable and believable characters, powerful visceral imagery, and a tapestry of combining old with new to create a masterful novel. Her debut novel is a stunning achievement that deftly envelops the reader.

New Book News
72 virgins
by Avi Perry
Synopsis: A suspense-thriller about a nightmare scenario-a countdown to a Mumbai-style attack on U.S. soil, where the FBI, the Israeli Mossad, the US-based Iranian clandestine terror network, and the Islamic Jihad fraternity, all engaged in a timeless conflict, which plays out to a crescendo that comes to a head before the dramatic conclusion. The story offers an ample dose of realism, a cast of intense characters who engage in love, lust, and violence. It portrays the Jihad culture with its rationale and the volcano that breeds an irrational obsession with death. Moreover, it builds on the Jihadists' motivation for targeting so many innocents and exploiting the victims' massacre as a stepping-stone to their dream of eternal paradise next to Allah's throne. The real question is not whether Jihad terrorists' plots will ever cease to emerge-there is no chance of that. The question the book seeks to answer is, will the next one be stopped before it's too late?

Requiem of the Human Soul
by Jeremy R. Lent
Eusebio Franklin, a school teacher from a small community, is faced with the most terrifying dilemma imaginable: should he carry out an act of mass terrorism in order to save the human race?
In this novel, the reader faces challenging questions about spirituality, history and global politics: Could our race "evolve" itself to a higher plane? At what cost and benefit? If we lost what is now the "human race" as a result, would that be so bad, given our sordid and shameful history? On the other hand, is there something special, our soul, worth keeping at any price? Ultimately, the novel forces the reader to grapple with the fundamental question: what does it mean to be human?
