The Curse of Nefertiti

I recently received the book “The Curse of Nefertiti” by new author Charline Ratcliff.  Her book is about the spirit of Queen Nefertiti, one of Egypt’s greatest queens.  Egypt lies in ruins and Queen Nefertiti allowed it to happen.  The Queen cries out to the Gods and they take pity on her and send her spirit into the future, into the body of a woman named Kayla.  The author’s character of Kayla is a great person who has been burned by a man in the past so she is a little reserved when it comes to men.  Kayla meets a man that she is drawn to for some unknown reason.  It takes Kayla some time to figure out who he is the reincarnation of, but when she does the story ends up taking some interesting turns.

I like the author’s style; although she is a new author, I think she is well on her way to becoming a lot of reader’s favorite.  Ratcliff gives the reader a lot of information without boring you to death as so many authors do.  I could go on and on repeating the same information that other book reviewers do, but that would not do justice to the book or the author.  In my opinion, this is a very good book and I think you will like it.  I normally do not review romance books if you want to call “The Curse of Nefertiti” that.  There was something about this book that caught my attention.  It was probably the Egyptian mythology; I love all things Egyptian.  I have to say that I am glad I did read "The Curse of Nefertiti."  I like what the author did with the characters, the story, and the plot.  This is one author that you want to keep an eye on; I am sure we will see more of her in the future.

To conclude, while the author, Charline Ratcliff, may be new, I think she is well on her way to becoming established in no time at all.  The book has great characters that she has brought to life with a story that will appeal to a wide range of people, women and men alike.  I would highly recommend this book.  You will not be disappointed with it.  I look forward to Ratcliff's next book and I hope to review it for you too.
