The Language of God in History

“The Language of God in History- A New Biblically Based Reinterpretation of History That Traces The Ancient Religious Use of God’s Symbolic Language” is Book 3 out of 4 books in a series written by Helena Lehman.  Although it is part of a series and the other three works are referred to here and there throughout this current book, it very much can be read as a stand alone.  I have not read any of the other books and did not have any difficulty following what the author was saying.

In the Forward of the book, Lehman states the two major reasons why she chose to write this volume.  “First, it is an educated Christian response to the virulent anti-biblical attitudes among world secular academia, New Agers, and Neo-Pagans.  Secondly, it is in response to the many alien conspiracy advocates and Darwinists who use author Zechariah Sitchin’s corrupted research surrounding the Watchers (i.e. Sitchin’s Anunnaki) and their Nephilim ‘offspring’ to support Evolution, and to suggest that modern human beings, or Homo-Sapiens are the by-product of alien genetic manipulation.” (p. xvii)

The author’s educated and comprehensive response spans seven-hundred and eighty-eight informative pages.  Lehman thoroughly covers such areas as, “The Importance of a Biblical Worldview,” The Legacy of Enoch, Pre-Flood Prophet of God,” Sethite Astronomy- Heaven and Earth Entwined,” Watchers and Nephilim- A Legacy of Evil,” “The Causes and Affects of Noah’s Flood,” “Yahweh Revealed and Concealed After the Flood,” “The Pagan Corruption of the Star Gospel,” “The Legacy of the Kingdom of Israel,” and “The New World Connection to Israel.”

Each section is presented in a very readable manner and Lehman’s interpretations are backed up with appropriate and credible references.  There were many points made throughout that I had never considered before.  There was an especially interesting section regarding the possibility of dinosaur fossils being the bones of the Nephilim.

“The Language of God in History” is an extremely insightful and thought-provoking book.  I recommend this well-researched biblical reinterpretation of history to anyone who is looking for an exhaustive text on the subject.  I think that you will find it to be very intelligently written and complete.
